Praise for Summertime READ to ROVER in the Libraries

From Martha Ashenfelter, the Youth Services Manager at Jefferson County Library: “READ to ROVER continues to be a popular and much appreciated program at Jefferson County Library. For the past two summers, the registration has been filled, with a waiting list on several days. In particular, one mother credits the program to her daughter’s breakthrough in reading, allowing her to read independently and with fluency. Thanks to all participants — human and canine!

And from Jean-Marie Tarascio, Youth Services Librarian at the Port Townsend Public Library: “I want to thank you for working with us this summer in providing a wonderful experience for our kids, especially for the joy you bring to children through the READ to ROVER program! Children will remember this experience with fond memories for a long time.
